Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What Is A Catalyst?
A: A catalyst is a substance that either accelerates or retards a chemical reaction, but one which in and of itself undergoes no permanent change.

Q: How Does EMP® And EMD® Work?
A: They work by enabling combustion to occur at lower temperatures, resulting in a more complete burn of all types of fuel, while reducing emissions and increasing power. The formation of nitrous oxides from the endothermic reaction between elemental nitrogen and oxygen is retarded when EMP® or EMD®, acting as a catalyst, is incorporated into the fuel mixture. Promotion of the combustion reaction prevents carbon deposit build-up in the combustion chamber of an engine, and actually facilitates the removal of existing deposits. In effect, fuel is burned more efficiently with fewer emissions.

Q: What Is Different About EMP® And EMD®?
A: Most of the products currently marketed for similar purposes use agents such as benzene, manganese, octane boosters and various types of detergents. These products, in many instances are the same as those that have been regulated out of the fuels for the future. EMP® and EMD® use entirely new technologies that dramatically improve engine performance while reducing harmful emissions. EMP® and EMD® when combined with the heat generated in the combustion chamber of an engine, turns regular fuel into super fuel. Because EMP® and EMD® burn more completely in the combustion chamber, fewer deposits enter the crankcase to contaminate motor oil, thus helping extend engine life.

Q: Why Should I Use EMP® or EMD®?
A: EMP® and EMD® save money by reducing fuel consumption and engine maintenance in addition to the positive environmental effects. EMP® and EMD® will assure the vehicle operates closer to peak performance levels. EMP® and EMD® help reduce dependence on foreign oil because of its unique ability to improve mileage.

Q: How Often Should I Use EMP® or EMD®?
A: One ounce of EMP® or EMD® should be added to each five gallons of fuel until decarbonization has occurred. Decarbonization is normally accomplished by the fourth tank full. The recommended application then becomes no more than ¾ of an ounce of EMP® or EMD® per five gallons of fuel.

Q: Will Using More Than The Recommended Amount Of EMP® Or EMD® Harm My Car?
A: Absolutely not! EMP® and EMD® best optimize your cars performance when used as directed.

Q: What Advantages Do EMP® And EMD® Have For Use With Alternative Fuels Such As Biodiesel?
A: Tests have demonstrated superior results when EMP® or EMD® or used with alternative fuels. EMP® and EMD® reduce exhaust emissions, save fuel, reduce carbon build-up, increases lubricity, lower NOx, and thereby increase engine efficiency. Unlike some alternative fuels, EMP® or EMD® can help a vehicle start easily in cold weather.

Q: Can one individual make a difference in helping to improve the air we breathe?
A: Absolutely! By using EMP® or EMD® on a regular basis and making sure your vehicle is well maintained, you can make a difference in improving the quality of the air we breathe. Also, be more informed. Ask your fuel supplier for a material safety data sheet (MSDS). Know which chemicals are considered and which are safe. You can further help by writing your elected officials and making them aware of the existence of EMP® and EMD®. You can make a world of difference by using and telling others about EMP® and EMD®.
